Do Squats
Doing squats are effective because they work out several muscle groups all at the same time. The right way to do it is by keeping your feet at shoulder width apart and trying to keep your back straight at all times. You then try to bend your knees and lower your rear similar to trying to sit in a chair. But all the while, you try to keep your back straight. As you bend, your knees should be always at a vertical level with your ankles, even when you are trying to lower your upper body. You can then add dumb bells to your routine once it becomes easier for you to do.
Do Lunges
Just like squats, lunges are also effective because they also work out several muscle groups in your lower body. It helps strengthen your leg muscles as well as help improve your balance. To do the proper lunges, you should start by taking a big step forward while always keeping your back straight. Bend your knee in front until it is about 90 degrees from the ground. Try to bend your back knee towards the floor without letting it touch the ground.
Walking
What is great with walking is that you can always do it anywhere. You do not need to go to the gym just to walk. It is a fitness routine that you can do just about anywhere and at any time. A daily 30-minute brisk walk is good enough to give your body some much needed workout.
Interval Exercises
If you ever need to follow an exercise routine, the best way to do it is by mixing it up in terms of speed and intensity. Try to do exercises faster at a certain point and then change it up to a slower pace. Then quicken your pace again for a certain period and then slow down and let your body rest for a moment. Using different levels of intensity when you exercise can help you lose more weight effectively than by exercising at a steady pace all throughout.
